Was blog surfing and read this...

My God is God.
Just yesterday an acquaintance that I haven’t talked to for a long time came to talk to me.
This friend of mine asked me what is Hebrews 11:1 ( on my msn nick) all about.
I said. ” Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of wad we do not see.”
And then we launched into a a discussion of Christianity and Islam.
Of course, in the course of the discussion, I was asked alot of questions that I wasn’t able to answer. How was the trinity formed? Why is Jesus also God? Where’s the original version of the Bible. Why it is no longer in production. Etc.. etc.
Come to think of it. We both asked each other the same question at different intervals of the discussion.
I asked him…
” but you still think islam is the true way? “
His answer wasn’t direct. But he meant that the Quran and the words inside, are meant to be guidance to life. He went on to give me examples of some books.
Then, after some more discussion,
he asked me…
(regarding Jesus)
” but you also believe that he is god? “
I said one thing.
” I believe. “
I believe.

I believe my God is God. There is only one way - the irrefutable truth.
I remember my Dad who is a Buddhist told me that all roads lead to Rome. Basically, He meant that all religion leads to one similar spiritually. All religion is true and leads to God. I told him that if what he said was true, then there are three group of liars in this world - Christians, Catholics and Muslims.
I realised that today, the Islamic belief have evolved slightly. Maybe it didn't evolved but I understood Islam belief better now compared to then. Islam is more incline to the idea of "All roads leads to Rome".
If Islam's belief is "All roads leads to Rome" and it is ONE of the many guides to life then it presents itself as a paradox. In this concept, atheist's belief also leads to Rome. But the end of the two belief will never see eye to eye. In Atheism, there is nothing that transcend the physical, i.e. no spirituality. But there is life after death in Islam. If there are many guides to life and that all of them are true, how can the final destinations that each points towards differ so greatly.
Trinity was there in the beginning. God's nature was same yesterday , today and tomorrow. He was not formed. But in Him, everything was made. Jesus is God because He was there with Him since the beginning. God is the Creator and Jesus played a part in this creator role. In Gen 1:26, God used a plural form, "Let us...". In John 1:1, the Word mentioned here refers to Jesus. It explicitly says that "the Word was God".
There's no original Bible but these scriptures that were painstakingly found and compiled together into the 66 books we read in today's bible. Different books were written by different authors but they all pointed towards the same destination and reveals more about the nature of one God. This uniqueness made it rather impossible to have an original bible for this bible was written by many authors who lived thousands of years apart. However, one can argu or define that the original bible is the compilation of the original parchment that these author wrote on. In comparison to the Quran that was the revelation of one man during his life time and was transcripted, it can be easily compiled and therefore an original Quran.
With all these thoughts and ideas, we can have an exchange of belief and understanding. But at the end of the day, the truth that I stand upon is this, my God is God. To me, this truth is like the law of gravity, even if you don't believe in gravity, it still holds you to the ground and you are bounded by it, whether you like it or not.
