After having a laugh, it saddening that the society of yesterday has broken down. Does progress equate to improvement? The progress in technology and knowledge brought about an abundance of material benefits. But with what price? We gave away the time for one another, thinking that the comfort gained indirectly from material wealth and success would be a better approach to love those around us and ourselves.
And yet, the world is being emptied of love that we so desire to give another. Yet, with advancement that improves production of food, there are communities out there dying of hunger.
The article brought me to think, have we progressed in our sense of humanity?
