Diffidence...

... is the state of hesitation caused by "if she cough again I will get her a drink" in wanting to offer a drink to the Professional Communication lecturer who was coughing badly away while lecturing and having no remedy accessible easily.

Hesitated three times and when I finally got the drink from 7-11, I was further delayed by my bashness of doing this deed of kindness and contemplated in getting back to my seat. Eventually, I followed the prompting in my heart and did what was right. The effect was an uproar from the rest of the civil engineers and mechanical engineers in training.

I was not spared from being teased by friends. But I still felt good.
