Handicapped Curtain

My bamboo draw string curtains from IKEA was moulding so I decided to scrub it and spray a layer of clear lacquer onto it. However, a bottle of spray for four curtain was not enough and I ran to a shop nearby to get another bottle, leaving them at the corridor.

When I came back to the corridor, I found one of them had its string cut off. I could only find three short pieces of the curtain strings. Looking at the disabled curtain, I thought of how to continue to use this curtain even though I can easy buy another for $5 at IKEA.

What was the motive of the passerby or my neighbour for carrying out such sabotage act? Is he/she in need of the string that could be used as a laundry line? Was he in anguish and needed an outlet? Fetish for strings? Answers to these I may never find. Anyway, I have passed the stage of finding answers.

I reinstalled all four curtains onto the window and admired the beauty they exhibit in my room. I placed the ONE at the right side of the window and left it hanging. If it had emotions and personality, he would be elevated for he is able to continue to fulfill the purpose he is made for - to create a private sanctuary for me.

Again, I won a battle against negative thoughts and have not fallen into a spiral of anger and revenge which would waste a lot of time and effort. Anyway, revenging for a curtain is a bad idea. I saved myself from more pain and money. =)
