Boy meets girl by Johua Harris

"'You're about to begin working when you turn to look at the person next to you. You're surprised to note that he has a larger brush than yours and a differently shaped canvas. You look around at the rest of the class. Some students have acrylic paint, others watercolor, still others oil - and everyone has different colors. though you all have the same assignment, you each have completely different materials."

Was a super easy read and finished this quickly. Under Delia's urging, slotted this book into the long and still growing queue of books. I relunctantly took it and read. The books were all waiting to be the next but I guess Delia was very convincing and I broke the planned book chain.

The book began with a narrative of Adam sharing his love story with his grandchild and through it highlighted that God would bring us our life partner. The book ended with the marriage of the Harris. The essence of the book, I felt, was to anchor our trust in God that He who have brought Adam and Eve together would continue to do so for us and that we need not worry when and how for all of it was in God's timing.

The main learning point for me was not over promising. I'm a sweet talker (quote from Pam) and hence I guess this is an area that I have to watch out. The promises that I make may not be fulfilled eventhough I really felt that I could see it to completion during the time the promise was made. I ought to watch my tongue and hold on to them till I am going to fulfill it right there and then.

"Two people learning to trust God.
Two winding paths that God made strainght.
Two straight paths that He chose to cross at the right time."

For you, I am waiting
About you, I am thinking
Are you waiting too?
By you, I'm made a fool
You who I have yet to come to know
You who I have yet to come to hold
