Europe...

... is a shopping-list-filled attraction to acquire relatively lower priced luxury goods for those radars who caught signal of an approaching holiday trip that seldom consists of a company of friends of friend, family of friend and family friends of friend and so forth. Big-heartedness just got bigger. I'm amazed by the group.

Ersatz...

... is the repeat of the same episode with different and additional cast. It didn't match up to the previous occurrence, perhaps the worn mind of the key entertainer and inadequate prior planning led to this inevitably.

Two nights are too much.

It's wonderful receiving a private beach treatment from above. I feel special. I hope the arrangements for the day made you feel special too!

May Happenings

Each day past with each second and hour
All are well spent when they come and pass,
If they are spent with people called friends
They are near and they are distanted
Nevertheless, in my heart, they are near far
Simply a phone call-email-sms away
Different seasons and different time
We met, gathered, built and love
Different seasons and different time
We remembers and recounts

M05

EOGM-ed today and we've gotten a President, Kean Lee. He is impressive.

Received a gift and a blessing from the members. I almost let go of the gate of tears. They've given me the peace and the notice to move on to the next chapter call work. I hope work would be mystical: a land filled with strawberries and cupcakes. I need to feel and be filled with excitement. The hole in my heart needs to be filled. I love them deep deep.

May the road rise to meet
You and the wind be
Always at your nack
May the sun shine warm
Upon your face; the rain
Fall soft upon your fields
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand

Today, my heart's all melted in an "awwwww" way.

Of radio and painting 100410

Went to do painting at Sta-dy's with Kef, Stacia, Andy, Bobby and Kevin See. I like painting. It was fun fellowship and Stacia was so thankful that we were there to help. All the meals we had were paid for and the dinner was fabulous. Didn't expect that they would be paying for the meals as they allowed me to paint their place.

Orchid white looks so nice and now their flat looks brighter and bigger in comparison to their previous "baby room" design which was yellow, blue and light grey in colour.

The radio that Kevin See brought lightened up the atmosphere and the sounds of current muse and rhythmic beats tells me how backward the song lists I listen to have been. 98.7 and 93.3 FM occupied the air thru out the day. I don't understand why the popular songs these days are so "straight forward" where there's no implied meaning. Their lyrics are blunt and explicit. The popular songs and the music videos have sexual themes. Is it true that sex sells? Disturbed. Can't finish watching them.

Victor and Maggie

Mystery shrouded its start
Know not where and how
It's started with a spark
Burning strongly now
The first touch, the first glance
Got the two to move
Their hearts are made glad
Dancing with tight groove
Together, they're growing
There love is blooming

Eugene's Day 1 of 26th year

We are no hero
Our burdens weigh a ton
Yest' was day zero
Today's 26's day one
Although we struggle
We're sure He'd aid us
Moving ahead, we straggle
But in Him we trust
He is grooming
You are growing
Facing today's sorrow
For better tomorrows

Claiming promises of better days in his 26th year.

Esther Goh's 21st

Tiny you may be
But packed with tight punch
All enemies flee
Not one but a bunch
That is who you are
One who really care
You are one who dares
All the burden beared

Rachael Chong's 21st

The day slowly brightens
Morning air refreshes
Memories of yest' flashes
The hanging fruits ripens
Today, Rachael's steady
After pressure and flame
Stone has turned into jem
She's meet-future ready
Sending Happy Birthdays!
He is with you always!

Soon I will run out of Birthday Poem juice.

Esther Lau's 21st

Almost forgot about her birthday. She's having fun in Milan, Italy. Recently, she has been popping up in conversations. Guess we are missing her.

Seeing thru' the clear window by my side
Puddles are seen forming on the pathments
The world is hit by weather elements
Eroding pebbles and mountains alike
Rainwater dripping in pipelines above
Such sounds of therapeutic trickling flow
Refreshing wind that follows gently blows
Like angels sent whispering words of love
Esther chose to be out in the unknown
Twenty one years she has been braving storms
She is moulded, refined and now reborns
Character “beaming goodness” she now owns
Thou you’re out in Milan far-faraway
Far reaching’s the wishes “Happy Birthday!”

I wonder how Haoyi is doing.

Of light bulb twisitng and dog patting 140310

Was invited to Narinder's elder sis wedding dinner. I totally forgot about the date. Thankfully, there was Mervin who reminded me after being reminded by Sianglin. It was at Singapore Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry. It's a odd feeling going there for a Sikh wedding when the exterior of the building is so temple-ish. It was an eye opener to experience the rich culture of the Sikh.

However, at the wedding, it was evident that the western wedding culture has invaded and have found it's place in the Sikh community. They have champagne pouring and cake cutting. Chinese wedding practices are found there too! The classic cheer of "Yummmmm Se" and Ang Pau was there.

My stiff bones and ackward dancing were put to the test again when the Bhangra troope tried to engage everyone in the dancing. Amazingly the relatives are very spontanous about doing the dancing. I got to learn the classic dance moves of bulb twisting and dog patting. It was fun.

Our different culture is in this melting pot where it's blending together to give different flavour to which may be alien to our ancesters. I'm reminded of the conversation Stacia, Andy and I had in the car on the way back to the west. If Jesus was chinese, what would the sacraments be? Maybe the bread and wine would be rice wine and Man Tou.

I wonder when would the wedding of Narin and "Good-dip" be.

Playing cards

It's a season of gifts. Now, I have one more set of monopoly deal. This means that I can have more than five people playing this game together! Great!

Thanks to my beloved friends who shower me with gifts.
